Excited to see the beauty that will evolve through the spring and summer!

I live in a spot with lots of oak trees and evergreens. I do not have much sunlight that hits my yard.

I have tried different flowers and veggies and it just doesn’t seem to work for me.

Also not gifted with a green thumb.

Quite the opposite if I am honest.

In my mind I think gardening would be wonderful and rejuvenating.

Are there any plants or flowers that you know of that would enjoy just two hours of sunlight a day? My garden area has such limited access to the sunlight.

First, I should confess that I am far from an expert. I'm more of a tinkerer. But I'll offer a few thoughts and ideas. First, contact your County Extension Agent. (I don't think most people could name theirs, so just google it. I need to do a full post on this some day.) Your CEA will be your best resource and they love answering questions from people who want to start growing things. Related to that, you could look into a Master Gardener Class, likely taught by that same person. The class will focus specifically on plants that grown in your region. I took the class for our county and I'm still learning from all the resources they provided.

Another thought--What about house plants? You get the same enjoyment of plants, getting your hands in the dirt, and caring for living things, but don't have to worry about sun and shade. I'm not great at it because houseplants don't have seasons. You never get a couple months off from houseplants.
