I haven’t spent as much time in the time in the garden this season as I’d like, but I’m not complaining. I’ve loved these weeks of writing and coaching, supporting our kids in their return to school and other activities, and a little bit of travel. Still, when I had a long weekend and the opportunity to spend multiple hours working outside, it felt like an indulgent treat. It was restorative in every way . . . including the way that requires soaking in an epsom salt bath when it’s over.
